Descipleship day 4

Today's preacher was Devon over the Holy Ghost. He did an excellent job preaching, and we could see he enjoyed it himself. Tomorrow should be fun! Giving our own sermons and all.
The first thing he gave us was John 14:26 which states that the Holy Spirit is a comforter, a blanket, somthing/somone who or will comfort you. In any situation the Holy Spirit  will comfort you. The Holy Spirit is God who is 3 things, The Father, Son, and Spirit.
Just because you get saved does not mean you you have the Holy Spirit, its up to you to reveive the Holy Spirit by Faith. Everything you receive is by Faith. If you receive anything, it will be by Faith. If you have received in Faith, God will give you tongues, the prayer language of the Holy Ghost. You may not always know what to pray but the Holy Spirit will pray through you, as it says in Romans 8:26. You yourself can also make up a prayer on what you see. God prays through you over the things you know.  It is almost like a huge soft net to pray with the Holy Ghost. As Jude 1:20, aka the shortest book of the bible says, build yourself in your Faith by praying in the Holy Ghost, pray in it everyday to streanthen it. Just do it, pray what prayers you need prayed, do what you can to build up your Faith. When you pray in the spirit, you bypass your mind. When you pray most of the time you dont even know it.
The bible will only make sense to you then the Holy Spirit teaches you, if you dont understand, ask him, its just like regular class, if you dont unserdtand something, who do you ask, the teacher right? The Holy Spirit is your teacher. Accept him for him, no matter what he chooses to be. The Holy Spirit will teach you what you want to know when you want to know it.
Preaching will help gain desciples, as we are, if you preach, you teach the word of God people may be interested and say ' Hey, that was a great sermon, im going to go tell my friends about it, maybe they will come join in God with me '.

Descipleship 2012 day 3

Today's sermon was over water baptism by Solomon Williams, who by the way did a great job.
Acts 22:16 says that if your baptised all your sins are washed away. They are, all is forgiven, and if you sin in the future, pray over your mistakes and ask for forgivness. You call on the name of the Lord by being baptised.
It is a nessisary part of our spiritual foundation to be baptized, its ok if your not yet, you still can, but just because your not baptised does not mean you wont go to Heaven, your just missing out on everything Jesus has for you. When you are baptized, the bondage of all sin is gone, or broken, no longer exsits, all if forgiven.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in he name of Jesus Christs for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost says Acts 2:38, when Peter was saved. When he was saved he was able to save others.
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ Were Baptized into his Death? says Romans 6:3. Jesus Christ is what we are baptized into, we Repent in his death.
Galatians 3:27 says For as many of you have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. When you are baptized PLEASE WEAR CHRIST OR ATLEAST ANYTHING, WE DONT WANTTO SEE YOU NUDE IN CHRIST!!! Anyway, remember, the characters of Christ are love, not judgy, forgiving, faithful, wonderful, and Holy. Try to wear anything in those lines, wear your stripes that show your healed in the name of the lord.

Discipleship 2012 day 2

Today was the second  day of discipleship 2012, and our first preacher was Jade De Kelaita, Childrens Minister over salvation. Her first point was that there is only one way to be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ. Just pray to be a child of god. Her second point is the meaning of salvation, which is beleiveing in god, if your a christian, you better have salvation. Revelation 3:20 says this ' Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also kept  thee thee from the hour of temptation, which  shall come upon all the world, to try to dwell upn the earth. '.
Jade's next lesson was, Getting to know Jesus. When you first meet him, your heart might be beating really fast, in christ this means he is knocking at your heart. When you become saved and live your lives holy, we become closer to him, if we live simple we are alienated to him. If we are saved, then we should live saved to, no one in christ will accept you if you live alienated. 1st Pter 1:16 says this '  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. '
Wehn you are saved with salvation and wear it, not only does he see your christianity but he sees his son. And not only can we be worthy, but we can be holy as him. You cannot force someone to be saved it is entirly their choice, dont make them do anything. Philipians 2:12 says this ' Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, nut now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembeling. ' . It is your choice to be saved as well as it is your choice to be holy or not to be holy.
Go to church every week, there is no excuse not to, being hungry or watching tv, not an excuse, just record it or buy your food on the way, nothing is more important than god, be in the house of god every chance u get. As great singers once said, we might not have tomorrow, so talk to him when you have the chance. When your saved, you inherit access to all good things. Romans 6:23 says ' For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ. ' God is your gift. Beleive that Jesus is god, the son, who paid the wages of your sin. Dont be afraid to talk to him or about him.

Disipleship 2012 first day

Disipleship 2012, beleive it or not this is my first time going. I'm excited for the next few weeks ahead, and ready to let my godly side out.
The first day of disipleship was awesome as of any day of church. The very first thing we did was go over what we will be doing from now until June 22. Everyday we will also do prayer for 15 minutes, to make sure we have talked to god and given time to talk to him, make sure he unserstands us all. We will be doing regular classes from 10-12 pm for the first two weeks and 8-1pm for the last week which is working at VBS. We also said stuff we need to bring, those being a bible, a notebook, and a pencil or pen. Our homework hasnt yet started but we must blog at Cathrinerudolph.com  everyday. Remember this if your going into our disipleship classes.
Our first lesson was on why and what we should pray for our pastors. Your paster may have been experiancing problems, maybe he/she prays for them but you can always help them.

Pray for your pastors!
  • Pray your pastors' weeknesses are not publicly known and streangthen their qualities.
  • Pray that your pastors' self portrait will never be damaged.
  • Pray your pastors' love and trust for others will never fail.
  • Pray the devil can and will never    convince your pastors that their lives are useless.
  • Pray god will swiftly expose anyone close to your pastor that will take him/her down.
  • Pray your pastor will always be blessed.
The next lesson we were given was over faith. What is faith? Faith is your trust in god, you can excersie and streangthen your faith  or leave it alone. Always have faith, even if it's just alittle, work at building it up. Any faith is better than none. Hebrews 11 is all about faith, if you read that section of the bible, they talk alot about it, showing how everyone had faith,  you do to. Faith is a constant thing, how, simple, you always have faith no matter what. Faith is supernatural. Natural is seeing the color of someone's clothes, and saying ' Oh, you have a black jacket on!! ' no, supernatural is better, and allows you to press into god. Press into your faith, don't let it go to waist. You need your own faith, dont go leaning on your pastors and fellow church members, if your going to talk to god, your have faith, faith for faith. Romans chapter 10 and verse 11 says 'So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of god'. Faith is god. Acts chapter 1 and verse 8 says this ' But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ' by faith you receive power. Hebrews 11:24 says ' By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;'. Moses had faith to refuse to be called toe son of Phraroah's daughter, he had the faith to say no. When faith is real, it's something  immediate, it wont wait.
Don't irritate others, prevoke or push them unto the love and good works, not forsaking ourselves. Keep others on track as you keep yourself on track with them. Watch those you care about, don't let them fall when others have given out.
After the lessons today, we decided to have alittle challenge, Girls must jump rope 25 times, run to the cone, shuffle to the next cone, backwards run to the next, run to the first cone, bear claw run to next station, run like your running through tires, jump hoop to hoop while being pelted with balls, jump on a stool, jump down, jump over with 1 stool and jump over 2nd stool, run over a log, and run to start. Confusing right? Coaches kept us on track. Guys had to do the same thing only 50 jump ropes and jump on a stool, jump down and jump over 2 stools. After the kids went, we got some preachers and pastors to do it, and we threw water at them. Fun day for the first day od disipleship. Hope it continues.
