Disipleship 2012 first day

Disipleship 2012, beleive it or not this is my first time going. I'm excited for the next few weeks ahead, and ready to let my godly side out.
The first day of disipleship was awesome as of any day of church. The very first thing we did was go over what we will be doing from now until June 22. Everyday we will also do prayer for 15 minutes, to make sure we have talked to god and given time to talk to him, make sure he unserstands us all. We will be doing regular classes from 10-12 pm for the first two weeks and 8-1pm for the last week which is working at VBS. We also said stuff we need to bring, those being a bible, a notebook, and a pencil or pen. Our homework hasnt yet started but we must blog at Cathrinerudolph.com  everyday. Remember this if your going into our disipleship classes.
Our first lesson was on why and what we should pray for our pastors. Your paster may have been experiancing problems, maybe he/she prays for them but you can always help them.

Pray for your pastors!
  • Pray your pastors' weeknesses are not publicly known and streangthen their qualities.
  • Pray that your pastors' self portrait will never be damaged.
  • Pray your pastors' love and trust for others will never fail.
  • Pray the devil can and will never    convince your pastors that their lives are useless.
  • Pray god will swiftly expose anyone close to your pastor that will take him/her down.
  • Pray your pastor will always be blessed.
The next lesson we were given was over faith. What is faith? Faith is your trust in god, you can excersie and streangthen your faith  or leave it alone. Always have faith, even if it's just alittle, work at building it up. Any faith is better than none. Hebrews 11 is all about faith, if you read that section of the bible, they talk alot about it, showing how everyone had faith,  you do to. Faith is a constant thing, how, simple, you always have faith no matter what. Faith is supernatural. Natural is seeing the color of someone's clothes, and saying ' Oh, you have a black jacket on!! ' no, supernatural is better, and allows you to press into god. Press into your faith, don't let it go to waist. You need your own faith, dont go leaning on your pastors and fellow church members, if your going to talk to god, your have faith, faith for faith. Romans chapter 10 and verse 11 says 'So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of god'. Faith is god. Acts chapter 1 and verse 8 says this ' But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ' by faith you receive power. Hebrews 11:24 says ' By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;'. Moses had faith to refuse to be called toe son of Phraroah's daughter, he had the faith to say no. When faith is real, it's something  immediate, it wont wait.
Don't irritate others, prevoke or push them unto the love and good works, not forsaking ourselves. Keep others on track as you keep yourself on track with them. Watch those you care about, don't let them fall when others have given out.
After the lessons today, we decided to have alittle challenge, Girls must jump rope 25 times, run to the cone, shuffle to the next cone, backwards run to the next, run to the first cone, bear claw run to next station, run like your running through tires, jump hoop to hoop while being pelted with balls, jump on a stool, jump down, jump over with 1 stool and jump over 2nd stool, run over a log, and run to start. Confusing right? Coaches kept us on track. Guys had to do the same thing only 50 jump ropes and jump on a stool, jump down and jump over 2 stools. After the kids went, we got some preachers and pastors to do it, and we threw water at them. Fun day for the first day od disipleship. Hope it continues.
